New Delhi: Global tech giant Samsung Electronics has officially unveiled its next-generation flagship smartphones — the Samsung Galaxy S26 series — introducing what the company calls its most intuitive and adaptive Galaxy AI experience yet.

The new lineup includes Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra, all designed to simplify everyday smartphone tasks through proactive artificial intelligence, enhanced performance, and an industry-leading camera system.

AI That Works Quietly in the Background

According to Samsung, the Galaxy S26 series represents its third-generation AI smartphones. The devices are built to handle complex processes in the background — from organizing schedules to editing photos — allowing users to focus on results rather than navigating multiple steps.

TM Roh, President and Head of Device eXperience (DX) Division at Samsung Electronics, said the goal was to make AI effortless and dependable for everyday users.

New AI features such as Now Nudge, Now Brief, upgraded Bixby, and integration with third-party agents like Gemini and Perplexity aim to offer context-aware assistance, smoother multitasking, and simplified task execution.

Galaxy S26 Ultra: Privacy Display and Power Boost

The highlight of the series is the Galaxy S26 Ultra, which introduces the mobile industry’s first built-in Privacy Display, designed to limit side-angle visibility and enhance on-screen privacy without compromising display quality.

The device runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy chipset, delivering significant improvements in CPU, GPU, and NPU performance. Samsung claims:

  • Up to 19% CPU performance increase
  • 39% faster AI processing (NPU boost)
  • 24% improved GPU performance

A redesigned Vapor Chamber cooling system enhances thermal efficiency, while Super Fast Charging 3.0 enables up to 75% charging in approximately 30 minutes.

Advanced Camera System With Pro-Grade Video

The Galaxy S26 Ultra features:

  • 200MP Wide Camera
  • 50MP Ultra-Wide Camera
  • Dual Telephoto lenses (3x and 5x optical zoom)
  • Enhanced Nightography Video
  • Super Steady stabilization with horizontal lock
  • Support for APV professional-grade video codec

Samsung has also upgraded AI-based image processing tools, enabling users to edit photos and videos simply by describing changes in natural language. Features like Photo Assist and Creative Studio allow easy object removal, background changes, and content customization.

Stronger Security and Privacy Measures

With AI becoming more personalized, Samsung has reinforced security across the S26 lineup using its Samsung Knox platform.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra integrates post-quantum cryptography (PQC) for future-proof protection and enhanced encryption via Knox Matrix. Features like AI-powered Call Screening, Privacy Alerts, and Private Album add multiple layers of security.

The company has also committed to seven years of security updates, ensuring long-term device reliability.

Display, Battery and Availability

The Galaxy S26 Ultra features a 6.9-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with adaptive 120Hz refresh rate, 5,000mAh battery, IP68 water resistance, and up to 16GB RAM with 1TB storage options.

The Galaxy S26 and S26+ offer 6.3-inch and 6.7-inch displays respectively, with battery capacities of 4,300mAh and 4,900mAh.

The Galaxy S26 series will be available for pre-order starting February 25 in multiple color options including Cobalt Violet, White, Black, Sky Blue, Pink Gold and Silver Shadow.

A More Agentic AI Future

With enhanced AI integration, advanced hardware, privacy-first display technology, and industry-leading camera capabilities, Samsung positions the Galaxy S26 series as its most powerful and intuitive smartphone lineup to date.

As competition intensifies in the global premium smartphone market, the Galaxy S26 series signals Samsung’s continued push toward AI-driven mobile experiences.
