Superstar Rajinikanth’s fan club in Mumbai is gearing up to celebrate the release of ‘Vettaiyan’ on October 10 at Star City in Matunga. Fans plan to gather early for a DJ session and perform an abhishekam on a 50-feet cutout of Rajinikanth. The film also reunites him with Amitabh Bachchan.

Christopher, a member of the Rajinikanth Fan Club in Mumbai, told ETimes, “We have booked two shows for the fan club, and preparations to celebrate our star’s film have begun at the cinema hall.” The Mumbai fan club of Rajinikanth will start gathering at the theater at 3 a.m. on the morning of October 10 and will celebrate with a DJ playing all of Rajinikanth’s songs in the cinema halls. Christopher said, “The theater has been kind enough to allow us to play the DJ before the first show, which will begin at 4 a.m. Also, like always, there is going to be an abhishekam (pouring) over the 50-feet cutout of our star Rajinikanth.”
When informed that ‘Vettaiyan’ will also see the reunion of Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan, Christopher said, “Of course, we will also have a huge banner of Amitabh Bachchan. Rajinikanth sir has spoken about working together with Amitabh Bachchan after three decades, so we will definitely be celebrating him too.”
