Bihar Exit Polls 2025: NDA projected to win big, but Journo Mirror predicts INDIA bloc surprise

Patna | November 11, 2025 | By NewsExposeIndia Desk

As Bihar gears up for the much-anticipated election results, most exit polls suggest a strong win for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), led by JD(U) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). However, one surprising outlier — a survey by Journo Mirror — has projected a clear victory for the Mahagathbandhan or INDIA bloc led by RJD and Congress.

According to Journo Mirror’s projections, the INDIA bloc could secure 130–140 seats in the 243-member Bihar Assembly, comfortably crossing the majority mark of 122. The NDA, on the other hand, is expected to win 100–110 seats, indicating a possible shift in voter sentiment.

Smaller parties, including Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraaj Party (JSP), are predicted to get 0–3 seats, while AIMIM, led by Asaduddin Owaisi, might bag 3–4 seats.

Contrastingly, nine other exit polls released on Tuesday painted a very different picture — forecasting 133–167 seats for the NDA, and 73–102 seats for the Mahagathbandhan.

The Bihar Election 2025, held in two phases on November 6 and 11, saw intense campaigning with Nitish Kumar seeking a record re-election, while Tejashwi Yadav and his INDIA bloc allies attacked the government over unemployment and governance issues.

Historically, exit polls in Bihar have often missed the mark — including in 2015 and 2020, when results defied predictions. With the official results due on November 14, the state’s political future hangs in suspense.

“The real verdict will come from the people, not the predictions,” remarked a senior political analyst in Patna.
