Menaka Irani, the mother of filmmakers Farah and Sajid Khan, died on Friday at the age of 79. This comes only days after Farah announced in an Instagram post celebrating her mother’s 79th birthday that the veteran actress had recently undergone’multiple surgeries’.
Menaka Irani was the sister of former actors Honey and Daisy Irani.
“Menaka Irani died at her son Sajid Khan’s home in suburban Mumbai after a long illness,” a family source said.
Several celebrities paid their final tributes to Farah, including her 1963 film ‘Bachpan’ co-star Salim Khan, Rani Mukerji, and Sanjay Kapoor.
Maniesh Paul, Fardeen Khan, Vikram Phadnis, Shoaib Ibrahim, and Shiv Thakare were also seen outside.
