The launch of Lists for WhatsApp, which will help users better organize their inbox, has been announced by Meta. With this feature, users can design their own filters to classify talks. With these new custom categories, Meta is improving chat organization after introducing chat filters earlier this year. Lists has begun rolling out to users and will be accessible to everyone in the upcoming weeks, according to a post on the WhatsApp blog by Meta.
WhatsApp Lists: An Overview and Operation
According to Meta, users can use custom categories to filter their discussions with Lists. Lists can be made by users for their neighborhood, workplace, family, and more. Only contacts in that list will show up in the inbox after choosing a custom category.
By tapping the new “+” button next to the preset filters at the top of the Chats tab, users can construct a list. Long-pressing the list button from the filter bar allows users to alter a list. Users can add both groups and individual chats to their custom list, just like they can with the “Favourite” filter list.
Meta launched WhatsApp chat filters earlier this year, with pre-made lists for group chats, unread messages, and a customizable favorites list. Additionally, there is a tab called “All” that displays every chat in the inbox. The search box at the top will only look for messages from chats that are included in the filter that users have chosen to list out talks. In addition to searching for chats, this tool shows documents, media, and links.
