Coolie Box Office Collection: Rajinikanth’s Film Races Towards ₹500 Crore, Beats Tiger 3 and Dunki
Superstar Rajinikanth’s latest blockbuster Coolie continues its dream run at the box office. The film witnessed a significant rise in footfall over the weekend and has now entered the ₹250 crore club in India. Globally, the Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial is swiftly moving towards the ₹500 crore milestone.
Coolie Box Office Collection Day 11
As per industry tracker Sacnilk, Coolie collected an estimated ₹10.75 crore net on day 11, taking its India net total to ₹256.75 crore as of August 25 (early estimates).
The film, released in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada, has turned into a pan-India success, pulling huge crowds across multiple states.
Strong Second Weekend Performance
During its second weekend, Coolie saw a sharp rise in ticket sales, particularly in Tamil Nadu, where it registered an overall 38.07% occupancy on Sunday.

- Afternoon shows: 45.18%
- Evening shows: 52.97%
- Night shows: 29.97%
The Hindi-dubbed version Coolie: The Powerhouse witnessed 18.40% occupancy on Sunday, while in Telugu markets, the film achieved 24.68% occupancy on August 24.
Coolie Box Office Worldwide
At the global box office, Coolie has already crossed the ₹450 crore mark. On day 10, the film’s collections were as follows:
- India Net Collection: ₹246 crore
- India Gross Collection: ₹291.50 crore
- Overseas Collection: ₹172 crore
- Worldwide Collection: ₹463.50 crore
With these figures, Coolie has already outperformed the lifetime earnings of Salman Khan’s Tiger 3 (₹464 crore) and Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki (₹454 crore).
Eyes on the ₹500 Crore Milestone
If Coolie continues its strong run, it is likely to become the fourth Tamil film to cross the ₹500 crore mark worldwide after Rajinikanth’s 2.0 and Jailer, and Vijay’s Leo. This would further cement Rajinikanth’s dominance at the global box office and add another milestone to his legendary career.
